Who Rules The 'Animals Of The Bible' Trivia Roost?
Solomon Says For Kids PC Game Finds Out
Computer Game for Kids Ages 7 and Up Builds On Success of First Solomon Says Title,
Letting Animal Lovers Face Off in Fast-Paced Takeoff of TV Game Shows
FREMONT, CA (October 17, 2006) - Who in your crowd is the Maven of Marvelous Mammals? The King of Things With Wings? The Wizard of Wet and Wild?
Now there's a fascinating, quirky, and totally fun way to find out: Solomon Says For Kids, Volume Two: Amazing Animals, the latest Bible trivia game from Cloud 9 Games, Inc. and Digital Praise Inc, a leader in Christian themed, family-friendly entertainment software. Besides being developed specifically for kids ages 7 and up, Solomon Says: Amazing Animals offers trivia with a twist - now the focus is on God's wonderful kingdom of creatures including birds, mammals, fish, insects, reptiles and more.
Suitable for both Windows (98 and later) and Mac OS X computers, Solomon Says: Amazing Animals follows the same format as Cloud 9 Games' original Solomon Says trivia game. Players are treated to a wacky takeoff of catchy TV game shows, complete with King Solomon himself serving as host. One, two or three players or teams compete to answer over 500 questions about creatures in God's kingdom. Players can select one of several animals as their "character" for the game, accompanied by appropriate sounds and animations, like a roaring lion and a flying parrot. As players achieve higher point goals, more animals are made available, thereby adding incentive for improvement.
All questions are derived from Bible passages as well as little-known animal facts, and are organized in five critter categories: Things with Wings, Wet & Wild, Creepy Crawly, Marvelous Mammals, and Creatures Great and Small. Also included in Solomon Says: Amazing Animals is a new feature Ñ the higher the score you get, the more animations you see on the main menu page, from a horse whinnying to butterflies flitting across the screen.
"From the outset, our goal at Cloud 9 Games was to extend the world of Solomon Says through versions made especially for kids," said Curtis Ratica, president of Austin, Texas-based Cloud 9 Games. "What we've found, however, is that adults like playing this new version with their kids, as much as kids like playing against each other. It's a great way for families to learn about the wonderful world God has created - and an entertaining way to spend time together."
Solomon Says has received consistently high marks from industry critics since its release earlier this year. The game received iParenting Media's 2006 Outstanding Product Award, while Family Friendly Gaming gave Solomon Says a score of 92 out of 100. Pastor Randy Phillips of Christian rock group Phillips, Craig & Dean says, "Whether you are a Bible scholar or a casual Bible reader - you will LOVE this game! It's absolutely a blast and I am learning more about the Word of God! Two thumbs up for helping me and my family have loads of fun!"
Dance Praise Support
In Solomon Says: Amazing Animals, players race against each other as well as the clock to earn points, with the highest scorer declared the winner. While the keyboard serves as the "buzzer" for each player or team, there is a way to pump up the excitement even more - by plugging in Digital Praise's Dance Praise pad, enabling players to answer questions by stepping on the right spot on the pad.
"The Dance Praise dance pad adds another layer of fun to Solomon Says: Amazing Animals," noted Tom Bean, president and CEO of Digital Praise, Inc. "Whether at home or with a church group, the dance pad allows kids to get their whole bodies into the game by being the first person to stamp on the correct answer square. The combination of mind, body and spirit makes this is the perfect youth group activity."
No matter how the questions are answered, Solomon Says For Kids, Volume Two: Amazing Animals will provide hours of enlightening entertainment. Three degrees of difficulty - easy, medium and hard - allow players to play at their appropriate level. As with the original Solomon Says, the Solomon Slam Daddy Point Multiplier is included on select questions. The feature allows Solomon Says: Amazing Animals players to double or even triple the points they earn or lose, enabling leads in the game to change quickly.
